Approaching Peace 1998 - 1999
This series is based on the murder of two pianists in Colombia whose case was never resolved. The murder was covered in the local news paper and the ensuing installations, objects and sculptures conjure the life and passion of the pianists. This is a personal reflection on Colombia’s inane violence and how its randomness can affect anyone – event the artist himself.
